About
WHO WE ARE
The Class Notes are Cornell's oldest existing co-ed a cappella group. Though we were originally founded in 1983 as a jazz group, we've since grown to sing everything from Rihanna to Hozier to Amy Winehouse. We perform on campus, the greater NY area, and also go on tour every year to various parts of the world. Previous tours have been to Jamaica, Canada, Miami, Boston, Virginia, and more.
Over the years, our crazy concert themes, sharp choreography, and love for Hint of Lime chips have given us a place in the hearts of both past and present Cornellians. The Class Notes have been featured on best-of-a cappella compilation albums, are ICCAs semifinalists, and also have won multiple awards at ICCAs, including “Outstanding Arrangement” at the 2019 ICCA Central Quarterfinals for “Japanese Denim” by Daniel Caesar. We recently released our 12th studio album “Here", which is currently available to stream on Spotify! If you'd like to join the Class Notes, come hang with us at auditions! Until then, enjoy the site and thanks for stopping by.
